Hair, Makeup, Motorcycle, Repeat: Inside My Craziest Fashion Week Day

The Time I Raced Across Paris on a Motorcycle Mid-Fashion Week

This is one of those fashion week moments I’ll never forget.

It was my second year doing fashion weeks, so I thought I'd seen it all by then. I hadn't. Between fittings, castings, and four shows booked in a single day, it had already been a completely hectic day. I was just finishing up the first show when I realized I had only 30 minutes to get to the next one, change my hair, change my makeup, and be one of the first girls in the lineup.

There was no car that could make that happen in Paris traffic. So instead, a driver picked me up — on a motorcycle.

I hopped on still half in my first look, and we absolutely ripped through the streets of Paris. And I mean it was beautiful — golden light, gorgeous architecture flying past — but I had zero time to enjoy it because my heart was pounding the entire ride. Equal parts pure adrenaline and pure panic.

We got to the next venue and it was chaos in the best way — hair artists, makeup artists, and nail techs all descending on me at once, working at lightning speed to get me show-ready again before I got called to line up.

I'm sharing a photo from that exact moment below, because it captures the madness perfectly.

Two more shows to go after that one. But that's a story for another day 🤍
